Sadly, very few things in life are free! And as much as
we love you all, and think it would be great if everything was
free and we could make you lovely designs for nothing, we don't
think the supermarket and the landlord and the electric board
would agree. Sadly.
What's the best way to pay?
We prefer to take payments by PayPal. This is a fast,
efficient, and overall safe method of payment. PayPal is
free and and used on hundreds of websites, including large well
known sites such as Ebay. Using a PayPal account means you
don't have to give your credit/debit card details out to lots of
different websites. You just give them once, to PayPal,
who look after them on their secure servers, meaning they are
safe from anyone trying to steal them. PayPal will also
notify you every time a transaction is made with your PayPal
account, so you always know what's going on. If you're
ever worried that a transaction was not genuine, or that you
have paid for something which never turned up, PayPal also
offers buyer protection, which gives you a chance to get your
money back. See their page
Can I pay by any other methods?
Yep. We can also accept payment by credit/debit card
- you don't even need an account!) As well as cash, cheque or
balance transfer. We'd still recommend PayPal as the
safest method though (see above). But we don't accept
magic beans. Sorry.
When and how do I pay?
For all products, full, cleared payment must be received before we send or publish any designs. So if you're in no hurry, we give the standard 30 days from the invoice date for you to pay before we start hassling you. But if you've got a newspaper deadline to meet, best to get it sorted asap!
For some major products such as web design, we may ask for an initial deposit after you have decided for sure to go ahead. Of course, we will discuss and show you some ideas, free of charge, so you can see if you like our work before we reach this stage
Usually we're happy for you to pay in full when we finish the project, though in the case of very lengthy projects we may ask for a certain amount of the fee mid-way through the process. We'll give you details in advance of payment dates and amounts at the start of a project.
We'll send you an invoice with details of your bill and the individual items that make it up. (By now we will have sent you final versions and proofs of your designs too). We can send this by email or post, or both if you prefer, and you are then able to make payments by any of the methods described above. You can also make payments online when you receive the invoice. Once we've received your payment, we'll send you a receipt just to let you know we've got it, and then get right on with publishing or sending your designs once the payment has cleared.
